"Hey Farva, what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy s***t on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?"
-
Very accurate at long distances, but I recommend using a higher powder load ammo... I have one and I love shooting it...
-
so whats the difference between this and an glock 24?

i like the longer slide and mechanism. i have a weird thought where i prefer a gun that has an overall length that is at least 1.5 inches longer the length from the bottom of the grip to the top of the frame. i just think it looks proportionnally better.

@TheodoreBeza I would say the "L" means large.

I love my Glock 17L
I have put a Dawson front fiber optic sight & a factory adjustable rear on the slide..
Also put an over travel set screw in the trigger housing..
All 17Ls come with the extended magazine release but not the extended slide stop lever, I also have put a factory extended slide stop lever in mine..
My 17L is a 1990 2nd generation Glock..
Enjoy!!
Thanks for having a video on the 17L..
See You @ Glock Talk I'm SIG P229 There..

awesome awesome awesome gun. i want one. if you could quantify it how much more accurate is it than a regular 17?

@gracer99
I perceived no notable difference. Glocks have a slopply lock up and are not super-accurate to start with. Increased barrel length does very little to ensure that the bullet flies more accurately. The primary benefit of having a longer barrel/slide is the INCREASED SIGHT RADIUS. Longer sight radius makes it easier to aim. This is why the average user will be more accurate with an AR15 than an AK47 (regardless of inherent accuracy)- the sight radius is longer on the AR.

I have read a report where the 17Lgave velocities in excess of 357 Magnum,through a chronograph.

@44terryberry
I suppose that is possible with very hot light grain 9mm ammo and being compared with a short barreled .357. If you compare similar grains and similar barrel lengths the .357 is always going to have a big advantage. Ammo capacity is a different matter.

Whats the advantage of the "L"? Higher bullet velocity than a G34?

@bballbill6
Primarily a longer sight radius.
