  • Yea, he was almost just off the boat then. He was and still is focused in what he wants for his career. He's a great guy and good friend. Gabe

  • @briwolfe1 Thank you! I know the Freed/Payola controversy gives many the impression of Clark's 'phoniness' but many in the industry said Clark was not involved in the act and only attested to his innocence. Even if he was involved, Clark has done more for the music industry during its heyday. And some have remarked that since Clark's non-involvement with the business it's been going to shit. Maybe, maybe not, but in the end Clark is a legend and possibly the furthest thing from being a phony.

  • That keyboard player looks like Quentin Collins when he was cursed as a werewolf.

  • 3 Dollar Phonieness of Dick Clark?? If you could have only walked in his shoes.

  • Hot Video.

  • This is awesome! Thanks for posting it!

  • Rick's autobiography has the key message of the way depression warps self-perception - here is the guy who thought he was unattractive! One of the most beautiful men in rock n roll but so much more. Rick's determination to be a truly creative artist has never wavered. His sincerity shines here, especially against the bathos and 3 dollar bill phoniness of Dick Clark

  • What a fantastic classic piece of Rick footage! Thanks for sharing!

  • Rick was hot back then and still is to this day! This is so amazing that you have this video. I have never seen this before now.

  • I always thought this was a very underrated single....have always liked it.

  • Great!
