Comfort Hair Rinse-Free Shampoo Cap is an easy way to help your patients and residents look and feel better.
This complete, all-in-one hair care system provides everything you need for a warm, comfortable shampoo --- and provides the ultimate in patient, resident, and nursing convenience.
Our fabric lined cap is pre-moistened with a gentle, rinse-free shampoo, conditioner and detangler.
Dirt and oils are absorbed into the cap's fabric lining, leaving hair feeling clean, soft, and healthy.
There's no mess, and it eliminates the need for multiple hair care products or a water source.
The cap can be prepared to use in just seconds.
You can warm the cap using either the Sage microwave, or the Comfort Personal Cleansing warmer.
To warm using the Sage microwave, tear open the package without removing the cap, place the entire package in the microwave, and warm for no more than 30 seconds.
You can also warm the cap in the Comfort Personal Cleansing warmer.
Check the indicator lights to see which packages are warm and ready to use.
Packages that have a green arrow are ready to use.
A red "not ready" arrow means the package may not be warm enough for your patient or resident's comfort.
A flashing green "take first" arrow means a package has been in the warmer for an extended period and should be used before others.
Remember, you should never flush the comfort rinse-free shampoo cap, or any comfort personal cleansing product.
When finished warming, remove the cap from the package.
Check the temperature of the cap before placing it on your patient or resident's head.
Do not use the cap if there's any indication it is excessively hot.
Remember, gloves diminish your sensitivity to heat.
Closely monitor heat levels with unresponsive or skin sensitive individuals.
Place the cap on your patient or resident's head.
For individuals with longer hair, gather the hair on top of the head so all of it receives the benefits of the wash.
Gently massage the cap to saturate hair with the rinse-free shampoo, conditioner, and detangler.
The cap will also help remove any blood, EEG gels, dirt, or iodine.
Short, fine hair should take about 1 to 2 minutes to shampoo.
For longer, thicker hair, about 2 to 3 minutes may be necessary.
If the hair is tangled, leave the cap on longer to saturate those areas.
When finished, simply remove the cap and place it in the trash.
Remember -- don't flush any comfort personal cleansing products.
Dry your patient or resident's hair with a towel and comb through.
