The Left and the Right can engage in ad hominems and deflection, and all the behaviors he was calling "personalizing". No party is free from bad reasoning. There's no golden boy. So get past all the rhetoric and look at the facts, and at history for lessons to learn from. Only by being unaffiliated and honest can you hope to arrive at political solutions. Anything else is mere party pandering.

@destructicon500 You're not wrong, but you can't argue with fact, and when Apple has more wealth than the US Government, that's a pretty scary one to take in.

Tactics of ridicule and ad hominem attacks are much more characteristic of the right-wing and centrists... maybe I'm more "far left" but I've never encountered this sort of stuff in my political circles.

I wish that more people would just stick to the facts instead of trying to bring emotion into this. The reason the left is using emotions is in hopes to distract people from the facts. They have done it for years. Climate change- pictures of polar bears on a lone ice sheet. It does the job it was meant for, but doesn't tell the facts or the absolute truth. It's sad.
