@opal1920able They are actually against tax cuts for the wealthy (they want them to expire and just extend tax cuts below 250,000) but Social Security is going to have to be somehow diminished if we don't want to be collapsing in debt in 40 years, which is going to happen if things stay as they are. SS and Medicare are the dominant forces in our nations budgets, it has to be done. It's time for us Americans to face up to reality: we've been spending way more than we can afford as a country.

Mr Gibbs, you and your administration have maintained an admirable level of dignity in an environment of sensationalism and hyperbole (i.e. the loaded questions from 9 minutes on). Politics isn't pretty, and you have taken some serious slugs in the midterm elections, but continue on your reforms. There are Americans  who don't blame your administration for a bubble in the economy bursting, I guess our signs are not inflammatory to warrant a news story.

I am very disappointed, hearing talks that the white house supports tax cut for the wealthy, at the same time increasing taxes for the middle class by cutting social security benefits, which we already have paid for. Don't expect to be reelected if you make cuts in social security.

Someone tell me that I'm wrong .. Voters vote houses in & houses & voters vote president in & that's where the vote STOPS ! Because Then president appoints his staff in to run the country . While at same time Federal Reserve prints & controls the MONEY that runs the presidents staff plus the president . The Sad point that I'm making here is that none of us vote for presidents staff or anyone who runs the FEDERAL RESERVE that runs the country . SO why does it matter if you vote Dem. or REP. ???
