  • its like a Hammond organ but this more beautiful on this Mighty Wurlitzer Organ

  • lots of tremolo and electric noises. Is this even music?

  • this song makes me laugh because i think of a soap opera with black actors and the guy playing the organ is a pimp or something O.O

  • I'm a devoted fan of the theater organ. This gentleman did this piece justuse mostlikey as he remembers it as a child.

  • Methinks I like your kind of "just for fun"!

  • Bill should be commended for keeping this theatre alive..the organ came from the Long Beach Fox...Played ever Friday Saturday and Sunday ...great show for $8.00..

Silent comedies galore...The last Wurlitzer, I believe was the one in Radio City Music Hall..when the silent era was ending..it brought in hooked up but never "finished"

some 50 years later old employees of Wurlitzer went back and "finished" the organ..by that I mean all the little loose ends were done...

  • @cody1800212 Well some people don't like the Wurlitzer. I prefer a Hammond myself, but

they are R&B & Gospel organs, so that is comparing apples & oranges. This one sounds

like the skating rink we went to as kids, sort of cornball & hokey like a cartoon. Which organ,

if any, do you prefer, if I may ask?

  • @cody1800212 It doesn't SOUND ugly, but it does appear the wood got beat up

so somebody glued an old piece of carpet from the lobby over it. Gramps does a

superb job but seems to favor the bells & percussion a bit.

  • This is nice. Like it.

  • I learned theater organ on this instrument and after a career of over 30 years as an organist it is still my favorite installation.
