Damning evidence has surfaced which will be proof that Sri Lankan Army committed war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Global Tamil Forum has released a series of video footage that it has received from military sources, which clearly shows the Army abusing a senior LTTE commander Col. Ramesh when he surrendered at the last leg of the war. Col. Ramesh was previously in charge of the Eastern Province when the LTTE controlled large swathe of land. He is accredited to have beaten and chased Karuna and his beleaguered Army when Karuna betrayed his own people of the East of the island.
Many British media organisations and others reported on these video evidence in their coverage of news today along with how the Tamil Diaspora has humiliated the President who came posing as a victor. The Daily Telegraph in its coverage today quoted government spokesperson Hulugalle as he could not comment on the video or the Global Tamil Forum's claims, but reiterated his government's claim that Col Ramesh had been killed in fighting.
The Global Tamil Forum claimed that they have obtained various other more incriminating video and photographic evidences that they intend submitting to the UN Panel. They said in an official statement to the media yesterday that these evidence will implicate many of the serving senior military men and ex servicemen who are currently on other civilian appointments.
The link below is the news clip where it was officially announced that many of the LTTE senior cadres being killed in battle. One of the names mentioned is Colonel Ramesh. His photo with his name at the bottom in Sinhala is also shown in this news bulletin.

The link below is another analysis by the notorious self appointed military analyst's (D.B.S.Jeyaraj) report (Dec 2009) where again he claims almost the same as per the news bulletin in this English report. You will find that the author refers to a letter written by Philip Alston, the then UN Special Rapporteur, to the Sri Lankan envoy to the UN regarding LTTE leaders who surrendered including Colonel Ramesh.

All records of General Fonseka claiming at a public rally in Ratnapura during the presidential elections was confiscated the corrupt Sri Lankan Defence Establishment. None was available in the public domain since. However a video recording of a news bulletin of Siresa TV has been obtained by Lanka NewsWeb after a series of meetings with certain individuals of Gottabaya's henchmen. In this video General Fonseka claims that his orders were over-ruled and Rajapakshas - both brothers sometimes ordered the troops directly in breach of chain of command without his knowledge. The white flag incident was one of those times when incompetent law breaking orders were made without his knowledge and he will not take responsibility for someone else's mess.
Rev. Father S.J.Emmanuel's (President of Global Tamil Forum) quoted to Lanka News Web::
'Every day we wake up to find new credible evidence of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Sri Lanka. It is disheartening and disappointing to tell the least that a killer of tens of thousands of innocent lives could be given privileges just because he's a head of a criminal State. I pray every day that justice will be done to those who perished and those who are still living in hope. As commander in chief, the president should take full responsibility'
@charuckshy ppl like u are just as bad as for sri lanka as the ltte. sri lankans have lived together for centuries. we ve had ttamil kngs etc. the british divided us. instead of uniting again we harm the progress of our nation. we need to stop fighting amongst ourselves. in colombo everyone lives side by side, we learn together ,we work together. thats what the rest of the country should be like. n thats what we should strive to achieve.

Channel 4 has always been biased. LTTE was a terrorist group who wanted to divide this island and they are the once who withdrew from peace talks unconditionally, during the war we found out they just used the peace period just to procure arms and continuesly made intentions of going to war...Its really sad a lot of ppl had to die but tell me a war which havent caused innocent deaths? govt didnt have a choice other than to go for a full swing war

However it is all because of him Tamil nationalists started using Elara as a historical link to legitimize and authenticate their claims to a historical presence in our island. In this connection Tamil separatist groups have used Elara as an iconic figure (or 'Ellara' or 'Ellalan' as pronounced by Tamil people) to identify themselves with. For example, LTTE has used the term 'Ellalan Force' to identify their armed group.

None of them were Tamil except Elara who ruled Sri Lanka north of the mahaweli(205-161 BC) after killing King Asela. Now we all know that he was an invader, an intruder and didn't belong in Ceylon and we all know what happened to him.

The word Ceylon is derived from Sinhala you moron.
The island was also called Heladiva. Hela were a separate people living in Sri Lanka before the arrival of the Indians, the Dravidians or specifically the Tamils.
From the beginnings of the Sinhalese monarchy in the 6th century BC; through the arrival of European Colonialists in the 16th century; and to the disestablishment of the monarchy in 1815 Ceylon was ruled by 181 kings from the Anuradhapura to Kandy periods
