Theme: This song is about how the good life was perceived in the novel The Great Gatsby during the 1920's, and how different it actually was. We can see people in our own society, such as celebrities, who take advantage of their wealth, while not minding their surroundings, and from this, we learn to not emulate them, and not be materialistic and self-absorbed.

Lyrics so you can sing along......

[Chorus]
Man I'm looking for the good life
Something that you can't imagine
It's something you don't know
Man I'm looking for the good life
Baby girl I got a ticket, do you wanna go?

[Slick Nick]

The name is Nick,
And I'm feeling rather sick.
Those fake celebrities, Tom and Daisy
are trashing the lives of so many
while they sleep around, so crazy
They don't even have a single penny
to spare for the thoughts of others
or for the lives of brothers.

And as for Gatsby, the best in my eyes
was really the worst; a life of lies.
He was always kind, had an open house
full of guests, each one a louse.
His life was always about money, material
he was never able to achieve the ethereal.
He thinks he'll get her back with all that money
but she's truly confused, and thinks it's funny

And lastly me, the best of all
is not saying much; they're all criminal
in the way that they act and think
and all their fumes that stink.
They all think I'm a friend
to talk with and confide in
but I can no longer pretend
to approve of their sin.

[Chorus]
Man I'm looking for the good life
Something that you can't imagine
It's something you don't know
Man I'm looking for the good life
Baby girl I got a ticket, do you wanna go?

[G-Money]

Thanks, were the greatest combination since eggs and bacon.

Yo, call me Gatsby the great,
'bout to chronicle my unfortunate fate.
It all started with a girl named Daisy,
That girl drove me so crazy.
I lost everything I had at a young age,
Back in the day makin' minimum wage.
Now I rock so fresh a style,
Everyone else in denial.
Tuxedos with da matchin' shoes,
My house party's hop more than kangaroos.

But back to the matter at hand,
I could satisfy Daisy's every demand.
I got the '20 yellow automobile,
wit the chromed out tripped out wheels.

Why would she choose Tom over me?
I'm the young materialistic O.G.
Is it because he got down on one knee?
I can buy you anything A.S.A.P
I can take you down to the Caribbean sea
In my yacht that I bough in '23.

I have a cool new pool,
I can put our kids through private school,
While I still kick it old school,
Don't play me for a fool.

[Chorus]
Man I'm looking for the good life
Something that you can't imagine
It's something you don't know
Man I'm looking for the good life
Baby girl I got a ticket, do you wanna go?

[Day-Z]

Straight outta Louisville but now I reside in East egg,
I let my beautiful white dress hang over my legs.
Better watch yo back I come high price,
Boys flock to me, they think I'm nice.
I'm just a material girl,
This world makes me want to hurl.

I want my daughter to grow up dumb and pretty,
If she were smart, it would be a pity.
Tommy Tom and Gatsby,
Which one will have me?
I'm in a good position,
Ill just follow my intuition,
They both have money,
Gastby is sweeter than honey.
While Tom is tough,
but he is rather buff.
I like a man with a fat wallet,
A man with a deep pocket.
