@RedJoe10 Daniel Hannan's Conservative Party will never take us out of the EU. Basically, our current Lib-Con government is taking our taxes and giving them to the EU who then put the money into the bank accounts of rich Tory landowners via the Common Agricultural Policy handouts. At the core of the Tory party is Britain's rich landowning elite. No surprise then that it was Tories that took us into the EEC in 1973 and Tories that signed us up to the EU - via the Maastricht Treaty - in 1992.

@RedJoe10 Hmm... Well, he could quit the EU personally but he can't take the rest of us with him - unfortunately. Real life is just a bit more complicated than World of Wankcraft, redjoe. Indeed, my miniature-brained Marxist, I do wish we could press the restart button on the whole European business, then opt out of the game.

The EU has become a racket? Well fucking quit then you bald prick! No you won't do that though will you? Cos then you won't have a platform for your bullshit world view that no-one gives a fuck about.

@cook119 I enjoy the banter too, however I take the EU situation very seriously. Prior to joining the common market purchase tax was 8%, VAT will soon be 20%.
I live in Denmark, the geographical location of which has enabled East European workers to undercut danish wagesby as much as 60% This has resulted in massive unemployment in the construction sector amongst others. The EU as a trading bloc would have been ok, however the small print shows it was never meant to be just. For EU see USSR

@shgp1956 Democracy is shit people vote for the wrong stuff. You did insinuate that whether you realised it or not.
Any way I hope we can find a compromise between you folks and people like me I'm sure we both want what is best for our country. Good arguing with you it has invigorated my Sunday all personal attacks were just for lols.

@cook119: We are not in the worlds biggest power bloc.... we are in a non democratic political nightmare where democracy is ignored.(Lisbon Treaty)
I never insinuated we were in the EU because of Kinnock, I said that politicians want political institutions...
As for it being complicated ..of course it is , the swindels will never be discovered if the accounts are never signed off!
I have worked in 7 EU lands so I have a little first hand experience.

@shgp1956 Your idea of a relevant fact is some story you read in the daily mail 15 years ago. The fact is Germany is a biggest trading partner, the fact is Russia controls our natural gas supply, the fact is we can be a big player in the biggest power bloc in the world or an irrelevancy in a world of superpowers. The fact is the idea that we are only in the EU because Neil Kinnock made some money out of it is remarkably stupid. The fact is it's a complicated.

@cook119 I only write fact not fiction as you do! Please reply with actual facts or go back to the nursery.
Imagine a Banana republic where 1 million Euros go missing EACH DAY due to fraud.
A place where auditors have refused to approve the budget for the last 14 years.
Where democratic referendums are ignored by a tiny elite that spends 2.4 billion Euro on propoganda each year.
With a president of an un-elected commission paid more than the ELECTED U.S. President and a Commissioner for Justice who is a convicted criminal barred from holding office !
Zimbabwe ?
Sudan ?
Burma ?
No.
The EU.
