  • my dad was in candlewick green

  • which band member was your dad?

  • Derek is my Dad!

Yes, it will have been him on Coronation Street as he did loads of extra work there. I found this video last night and it's really fab for me as I grew up going to their gigs so it brought back lots of happy memories for me too.

I showed the vid to my Dad this morning and he asked me to say thanks to everyone here for the lovely comments- he really enjoyed seeing the vid and is as chuffed as I am that I came across it.

If anyone has any more let me know!:-)

  • My Dad joined Candlewick as lead singer in the early 80's. His name is Jeff Lewis and he's from South Wales. He had a stroke last year, and has retired from singing because of ill health. He would love to see some of the old stuff he did. I anyone could help, that would be fantastic. I know they did Crackerjack once. I remember us going to the Isle of Man with the band for summer season. Hope someone can help!

  • I remember a member of the band called Jimmy Nunnen. He worked in a printing factory with my mother. He gave me his Subbuteo football game! I don't know what became of him after fame!

  • Great song, great performance and arrangement. Viva YouTube! I'm now off to try and find a Candlewick Green compilation.....

  • Hi Terry, This is Tony Burns here (Ines Burns & the Signs). Long Time no speak!!!

Just to clear a few things up on here, Peter O' Connel was not in Candlewick Green, If it's the same guy he was in The Signs with me and Dave Kerrigan.
