Nostalgia Dragster

My dad's Flathead powered Nostalgia front engine dragster. We broke a piston at our last race and couldnt get pistons in time for this one, so we machined our own on the lathe and balanced them and everything. The car ran a 13.40-something or other in this run, which is about what it will do. Next years plans include 331 Chrysler Hemi

what transmission do you guys have in it? i'm starting a flathead build and dont want to use a manual tranny

Its a 3 speed standard from a Caddiliac LaSalle. We only use 2 and 3.

I would say no don't touch a thing the car is perfect just the way it is Keep the flathead in it, you will draw my interest in it form fans and the upan comers and all the old times too. Good luck keeper stright Bud
