Well if Englishmen of the 1960's generation have not had an impact on the world hmmmm , well how about the INTERNET , which invented as a communication device primarilly between Oxford & Cambrige university science departments , one of the pioneers of the internet is a Cambridge proffessor of mathamatics , oh! and the communications saterlite ; self powering via solar panels . Actually it was THE UK THAT FIRST INTRODUCED STANDARDS FOR ENGINEERING as in TIME, BRITISH STANDARD FLAT,the first ATOMIC CLOCK ,standarised TAPS AND DIES , BSW , BSF , and many other INNOVATIONS ,I THANK YOU!.
