@Vyocae I know right! Anyway, what I should have mentioned is that Valve likes to get voice actors that are similar to the charecter. I think they mention it in one of the Half-life commitaries. But, your right; all this guessing is half the fun. However I still believe he is male.

@linkanator Wut. Sorry, the only thing that proves is the gender of the voice actor. I could name you dozens of female voice actors right off the bat who voice male characters, and vice versa. Although the former greatly outnumbers the latter, my point here is that looking at the VA doesn't mean anything. It's called voice ACTING for a reason.
...And not to say there's an official answer, either. I'm sure they're having a good laugh over at Valve right now over all the fuss this is making.
