This is a siren system recording of Detroit's sirens. Surprisingly they tested in both alert and attack. These are the most sirens I've heard in Detroit in years. There was a random Thunderbolt 1000T that also tested in alert and attack. Can someone explain that? It might be from Detroit being that it followed Detroit's format but i thought Detroit only had 1000s. Sorry for the background noise, it seems as if everyone waited until I went out to record to stir around. It was literally quiet before 1:00.

  • Unfortunately I probably won't be able to record this Saturday's test due to an ROTC parade that I am participating in. However, still tell you all if I hear any sirens.

  • Could you find the Thunderbolt 1000T and get a video of it during next months test

  • @garyhstorms10 I'll try to. It's going to be kind of hard being that up until this point no one knew that Detroit had a 1000T.

  • @97Siren Might as well finish the rest of Livoniass.

  • @Ouranos94 If this was recorded in the Joy Road and Greenfield Road the thunderbolt 1000t could be the one at the abandoned Ruddiman Middle School.

  • @Siren1000T1 Then what siren are you going to record then?

  • @97Siren I don't mean to be negative but the truth is, I don't trust Detroit. I will still be able to record a siren this Sat but it's not like anything special or interesting though.

  • @Siren1000T1 Can you record a Detroit thunderbolt this Saturday?

  • I thought that the thunderbolts were out of service.

  • @mohkfry Probably between 30 and 40.

  • @Ouranos94 Sweet! Do you know approximately how many sirens will be running then? Im sure they could just hook up the sirens without power. It shouldn't cost too much considering the 3-phase lines and transformers nearby the sirens.
