the universe does contains different forms of gas. so there is something to travel trough. but most of the universe contains hydrogen. which has a very low density so the amount of hertz is very low. so it can't be heared by the human ear. (or something else)

So like, how long would it take for the supernova to destroy everything in it's path. Would people even feel the burn, or would it happen so fast that we wouldn't feel anything?
