5/10 - i found the movie to be too slow and the story line was all over the place. The special effects were brilliant, but I would say that being a New Zealander and it was our Weta Workshops that did the special effects for this film.

@mrjamespage It was scifi because of space alien and space alien robot. Some scifi have drama Gorgo, mother monster comes to resucue his kid from evil humans.

very underrated movie,people dislike it because they expected another indepence day ,that one was a good movie too,but the day the earth stood still is a movie with a message,how humans are fucked up this planet and they even did not realize,people only want to watch fighting and explosions,PEOPLE ARE FUCKED UP
