On Saturday, 15 May 10 at 10:15 pm, Channel News Asia broadcast this report on Pink Dot 2010. The latter took place earlier that evening at 5 pm. The turnout of 4000 people was the largest ever at Hong Lim Park since the Singapore government, in September 2008, allowed demonstrations to be held there without the need to apply for a police permit.
The reportage is of historical significance as it was the first time that local television used the phrase "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Singaporeans".
The theme for Pink Dot 2010 was "focusing on our families".
Pink Dot's celebrity ambassadors Adrian Pang, Tan Kheng Hua and DJ Big Kid hosted the event which featured multicultural and multiracial performances. It culminated in the formation of pink heart shape followed by the signature Pink Dot, while participants sang the Ben E. King hit, "Stand by me".

My most sincere congratulations on hosting the 2nd Pink Dot Event from a gay Singaporean who now lives in San Francisco, USA! I am so happy to learn that finally LGBT people in Singapore are coming out in public to host a huge event as such with the support of the general community without any interference from the current government.
