Part 2 in a series of short videos I am making on Arizona Hiking.

On this particular morning, I hiked the trail with my dog Cosima during an unusual desert rain storm. The rain and cooler weather created a beautiful mist and fog over the mountains.

Trivia, facts & location info on the Ballantine Trail & surrounding area is at the end of the video.

Part one of the series may be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK4mTjpuScI

Thank you so much for watching!
I hope you enjoy.

Music by, Kevin Welch, song: "Early Summer Rain".

Photography by me :)

  • Beautiful Lily...what a great day for a hike.

There's nothing quite like an Arizona storm when the clouds shroud the mountains...quiet, peaceful, serene...perfect!

  • @Mach1Tim Hi Tim, sorry it took me so long to thank you for your lovely comment. I have had surgery and was in hospital, recovering just fine now though! Your comments gave me a smile, thank you, so glad you enjoyed. This was definitely a memorable hiking day for me and Cosima, it was so beautiful.

  • Hi Lily, I'm glad to hear that you're recovering...I do hope it is nothing that will keep you off the trail.

I really enjoyed your Ballantine Trail video. Your photography was beautiful. I especially liked the black and white shots and the music was perfect.

    Here's to a speedy recovery!!

  • @Mach1Tim Thank you :) I'll absolutely be back out on the trails hiking and running in about six weeks time. I guess if I had to have this downtime, the summer is better (in Phoenix) than our gorgeous winters! However, I have to admit, it's not even a week yet and I've got serious cabin fever! I hope to work on some new hiking videos during this time and that may help me feel like I'm in the wilds even from the bed lol. I'm really happy you liked the b&w's, and the vid, thx so much!

  • just beautiful!

  • @jwerstlein Hi Joanne, it's lovely to see you here ... and thank you, I'm so happy you enjoyed it.

  • @hastetheday141 Thank you for your comment and for watching. I honestly don't remember if it was posted to camp or not, but on a guess I'd say you probably could. This area is part of Tonto National Forest, so if you contact the Ranger office I'm sure they could help you out in case you need a permit, etc. Once you get in off the Beeline aways it would certainly be a lovely place to pop up a tent and spend the night.

  • @imasunshin Hi Jenni! Thank you! So glad you enjoyed and thanks for subscribing too! Next on my list for this series is our Picacho hike :)

  • How beautiful!!! It is a truly wonderful area! (By the way, the song totally makes this!)
