Final Fantasy 13 Boss Fight: The Proudclad

So I don't have much to say on this boss other than buff everyone and go all out commando. From what I've seen, if you stagger him you better be sure to kill him before he recovers because he will counter with a special move about 8 times and heal himself.

So what I suggest is just doing as I did and buffing, then just owning with Commandos. The trick to this boss is to NOT stagger him. As dumb as that may sound, if you stagger him and DON'T kill him, he will heal and do crazy amounts of specials and even dual healers can't keep up.

Even though this may make the boss fight seem longer, if you stagger him it WILL take longer unless you're way over powered. That's really all I have to say about this boss. =P Good luck! Please rate/comment/subscribe!

@IAMBETTERTHANYOU1997 I actually don't really know. I just know I had all the abilities unlocked in their main roles. I used Lightning, Fang, and Hope, by the way.

This boss was easiest in the game >< hope is an amazing healer...my strategy was hope using haste and hope and Fang buffing up magic, defence and attack, then had 2 sabs and hope healing then relentless assault...staggered and within the first stagger was over within a couple mins :)

For this fight, I started out with Protection, switched to Relentless Assault, staggered it, used Lightning's Army of One until his Chain Bonus went up to 999%, and defeated him at the very end of the stagger. It took two minutes. It was awesome.

i took him out today by doing the opposite of what you did and i could dual heal just fine and im a noob at this game.

try using sen/sen/med and sen/com/com when attacking or something i think thats what i did :p

There is no point in having a Sab he is immune to all status alignments

im so used to pummeling away at enemies by trying to stagger them then attacking and this guy kept killing me! i didnt at all about not staggering him i followed this tutorial and i beat him on my 1st try in 5 mins :)
