  • I'm using cutting pliers as a lever to pry up the bridepins, not using them in any way that would mare the pins or wood of the bridge. This is a common practice among luthiers. You don't have time to reach for a different tool to do the same job as the one in your hand if it works appropriately. String winders do have a spot on them for pulling out bridgepins also, but I don't use a manual string winder, as shown in the video. Thanks for your comments and questions. Nowa Crosby
