@lankinator24 There really weren't many clear victories in the war. The allies took a hell of a beating and the French army went into mutiny after the dismal failure of the Nivelle offensive in 1917, and the British took a severe beating by the Germans in the 1918 spring offensive. And Russia was beat so badly it collapsed before the war even finished. All the countries lost an entire generation of young men, not a victory in my book.

@athomicritics Yes it's true that it there were many casualties, but there were also some great victories later on in the war.

@Warfrae There was a small hole under it, the spike was a rainproof vent. It also served as a decoration, and as a show of rank, or service branch, I think.
