In 2001 Dave Winfield, Kirby Puckett, Bill Mazeroski and Hilton Smith were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Winfield played for the New York Yankees, California Angels, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, San Diego Padres and was a teammate of Puckett on the Minnesota Twins. Here's a home movie of some of the festivities -- and some other familiar faces like New York Mets Tom Seaver and Rusty Staub, Yogi Berra, Sparky Anderson, Tommy Lasorda, Frank Robinson, Carlton Fisk, Jimmy Jam and Gregory Hines -- set to the music of Sir Paul McCartney.
Dave was a class act all the way. Kirby as well RIP

Dave Winfield is a class act all the way. Dave, you were the heart and spirit behind the Toronto Blue Jays 1992 World Series championship. "Winfield wants noise!" Thanks Dave for playing a huge role in creating the best sports memory of my childhood. You exemplify what it means to be a humble, decent, compassionate, generous ballplayer. You remain an inspiration.
