Back in Mysore! Monday am's practice in the hotel room where I am studying. My home away from home for now. For the past several weeks the practice includes backbend versions of the locust and the cobra pose. An unedited clip of an honest practice that involves counter postures like half lotus forward bend, half lotus twist, fire-fly and downward dog. For strength, the poses include handstand vinyasa (re: knees to the chest) to sitting (re: a movement connected to the breath).
Keep in mind these are not traditional (re: the sequence as laid out by my teacher). I practice this to extend the body, train my mind and to use more breath control. The sequence is intuitively based and after many years of practice, study and training. Each posture is created by following the breath; an important and key aspect to creating a flow. In practice I wait for the breath as well as feel it before I move my body. A personal mantra is "Watch the breath...".
Thank you for this beautiful video.
It is great to see what you have achieved with patience and regular practice.

@yogibeertje2 Like the ancient texts state, "Practice.....". Sounds simple but keeping up the regularity can be difficult. Still, it is a great time in Mysore to carry on. Thanks for dropping by.
