Iman was a university student in Nairobi when she was discovered by a photographer. She agreed to be photographed, and, a few months later - Iman agreed to move to New York. Almost instantly, she was a star. Walking the runways and doing magazine cover shots - becoming the first African on the cover of Vogue. Since then, Iman has created 'Iman Cosmetics,' for women of colour. And she's become a global ambassador for 'Keep A Child Alive' - an African AIDS charity. Last season, she appeared on 'Project Runway.' This season, she's hosting 'Project Runway Canada.'

  • She is my inspiration xx

  • @bakeezawzaghlool She's a brilliant university educated woman from privileged roots, I doubt she would still be suffering.

  • She is an inspiration! XX

  • If she was a regular woman , she could have been still suffering in Kenya . SHe was just a " new thing" in fashion society and that's why she became popular .

People who keep saying she fought to make her way , blah , when the media wants to make someone a star they would make them a star as no one could imagine .. Oprah , Lady gaga, Justin Bieber and this Iman , they aren't exceptionally talented ... it's mere luck and lots of commercialization

  • It was 8.000$ get your info right!

  • She has got possibly one of the most beautiful accents I've ever heard. She's poised and carries herself like a woman and she is beautiful. Every woman should strive to be like her.

  • sell out what a disgrace mockery to the somalian people

    '

  • I like the way he sits on his chair... on the edge and leans in..
