The original lyrics Make me a Little Cake First (Chacko, 2009), set to the tune Diademata, illustrate over a span of 2,925 years, God asking us: Give Me: an event from the Old Testament in BC 929: Prophet Elijah asking the widow of Zeraphath; an event from the New Testament in AD 32: Jesus asking for the lads five loaves and two fishes; and a contemporary event in 1996: A College Deputy President completing a hall for Revival. As the soloist sings the different stanzas a Capella, the characters described what they said and did: narrator (George Chacko), God/Christ (Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry), Widow of Zeraphath (Rev. Dr. Ramonia L. Lee), and Prophet Elijah/Apostle Andrew/Apostle Philip (Mr. Ralph Durbin). The choir and congregation sing the new lyrics accompanied by the 2009 recording of Winterley Methodist Brass Band of South Cheshire, England, founded in 1938. Videographer: Dr. Pauline Yang.
