Terraria - How to get the Merchant

The merchant is a NPC that spawns when you meet two requirements:

You have a spare house on your server
You have at least 50 silver.

The merchant sells a variety of items, such as the diving helmet, glow stick, shuriken, torches and much more!

i had 100 silver and a house he didnt come so i paused the game looked at the description and then i unpaused the game and it said the merchant is coming

@Zumdox you need to make one of the gold into SILVER and then he will move in. that happened to me to so i just made the gold into silver ;D
