there is no such thing as "lockjaw" unless its caused by tetanus or some neurological issue. pits have the same jaw structure as any other canid. why dont they let go? because thats how they try to pin down an agressor. much like how you would pin down a person. we arent built to use our teeth. enough with the stigma of pits. its no different than automatically assuming that some black guy was the cause of some random robbery or some asian in a car accident. do some research before judging.

Real intelligent. Should have shot them all. These videos are all about hate and no facts. You learn about dogs in a book and with the experts, not a you tube video. Dogs are innocent but you have to wonder about the people that have no problem shooting or stabbing things. Big tough act. The National Canine Research Council has the facts about dog bites and not you tube.

No one in denial. The facts are with the National Canine Research Council and not newrevolution. 31 people are killed in the US by all types of dogs & there are millions of dogs & DNA testing would have to be done to confirm the breeds & mixes. There is no monster dog. Best Friends Animal Society, Bad Rap Pit Bull Rescue, Our Pack, Animal Farm Foundation have dealt with hundreds of these dogs and proof they just need a responsible dog owner like any dog. Hector the Pit Bull is a perfect case.

@jec933 People who are in denial like to say "media hype" instead of admit the facts. It is not the fault of the dogs who are following their natural instincts and breeding. It is humans who have no business breeding dogs that have a superpowerul bite and jaw and who, unlike other breeds, have a peculiar determination not to let go. This is why reseacrh shows up to 2/3 deaths pit type, 2/3 of those kids under 11, while only 5 % of dogs are pits. Do the math. Media doesn't force dogs to attack.

It is just a video of an isolated incident and it shows different types of dogs for God's sake. Dogs have teeth. No one knows the whole story of these videos. They are put up to create hysteria and hate for innocent dogs.

if you get lockjawed on the arm by a pit bull....only way to kill it instantly..is stick a knife right under its throat...if you dont have a knife ...put your other hand behind its head use your weight and try to snap the dogs neck(military training).....roll up in a ball covering your ears and groin...never look at it in the eyes...most damage is done when trying to pull yourself away from its jaws...
