  • This is absolutely true. The mixer on the right was run faster throughout the demonstration. Maybe it makes a difference. Maybe it doesn't. But the demonstration was not truly the same for both.

  • The sideswipe mixer was started first. Then the one with the regular attachment was stopped first before adding the sugar. It also sounded as if the SS attachment was allowed to run at a higher speed. Overall the SS mixer was allowed to run for a longer period of time.

Cooks Illustrated wrote a positive review on it. I'm sure it's a good product, but it's pretty obvious the demo was not a fair comparison. Start and stop the mixer at the same time. How hard could that be??

  • You people are smoking crack. If you think the mixer on the left would have done better given a little more time, you obviously have no experience with a mixer like this. The sideswipe and beaterblade are both great products.

  • bravo pour cette démonstration

  • ya don't need one of these now that kitchen aid make a beater with a scraper. course it's 3 years late compared to this video

  • That is right... The beater blade makes a better job than the regular one since it removes ingredients from the bowl sides while mixing and the regular one doesn´t so you must stop it every time to do it yourself using a spatula .. THE BEATER BLADE IS MUCH BETTER.. THANKS

  • I've watched a few of these videos, and I've noticed that they do the demo on the 6qt bowls and not 5 qt bowls.. The 6qt bowl is obviously bigger, and they are only doing the demo with sugar and butter, so there isnt that much material in the bowl to work with, so of course its going to get stuck on the sides unless something is scraping it off.. I'm about the buy me a mixer, and i keep getting told to get the 6qt, but I think I'm going to start with a 5qt since I'm only baking is small batches

  • SLIGHTED REVIEW!!!!!! Like everyone else said, the mixer on the right was run faster........grrr. I hate it when people try to tarnish the KitchenAid name!!

  • @cbsweger Just wondering if you found it fell apart and the little 'nibs' became cracked.

I've read a lot of reviews that is what happens. Can you post an update on your review of this?

    Thanks!

Yeah right silicone is safe. Half of Hollywod look mutilated. Silicone is so safe they made it harder to implant in your body. And you want me to ingest it. What is the difference.

  • @12quillemall5321 Silicone is the most food-safe plastic.
