BLACK HOLE STATION:

I've primarily uploaded this video to show how the "survival" mode works. Points are awarded once per 0.5 seconds. The winner gets a huge extra point bonus, complete with an arcade-like victory sequence with point messages showing up everywhere on the screen.

The level itself is nothing particularly special; it's a space station encircling a black hole. The station is mounted on 4 hovering pillars; everything in between can be bombed off and fall into oblivion. I will probably make it a bit more dangerous, this is only a prototype.

_______________________________________________________________

This is a preview of one of the maps of the level I'm currently working on. The level is called "Planetary Tanks!". 1-4 Players can play against each other. Each player mounts a tank which can charge and shoot bullets. The tanks, bullets and any other objects (such as fragments from planets) will be affected by a custom gravity engine of sorts. Each planet is surrounded by a gravitational field which pulls objects in. There's two main game modes: "Hits" and "Survival". "Hits" scores points for hitting other players, obviously. "Survival" is a fair alternative; the score of all players increases every 0.5 seconds as long as they stay alive. Last one alive wins the battle, plain and simple.

The project is currently in development. It's about 80% done. I've got 10 different maps to choose from at the moment; the final version will feature over 15 and will probably be released somewhere around the end of march.

Any feedback is welcome!

  • Nice new planet. Have you tried making one entirely made out of orbiting platforms? That would be a very strategic one heh.

  • @synchronizerman

Such a planet is already in the planning - will be done as soon as I find some time :)

  • @Fyrex45 all you need is a counter to count the number of shots and when it fills up you reload and reset the counter

  • I have an idea for you many you should make one that has two orbiting Blake holes and and six fast spinning orbiting asteroids that can Chang wich black hole they orbit

  • @Noshire

Hey umm can you show a tutorial on how to make a reload logic

As if I were to fire a gun after a few shots it would wait a few seconds to reload?
