personally i like toros systems but i think its all based on personal preference and customer needs, no 1 system is gonna be perfect for every course. some people are gonna say toro is easier to use and repair but then your gonna have people who also say the same thing about rainbird, both great companies in my opinion but like i said its personal preference

Wow, how pathetic and weak. When you usually when do a comparison you have the FACTS. This video is complete crap! I just choose to go with the IC system because it is far superior to the GDC system. Toro claims that they havent lost a decoder to a lighting strike that is complete BS just like the rest of this video. (I had tons of them fail that why I cam changing to the IC system) Talk to your Rain Bird distributor and get the facts. This video is just another desperate attempt by Toro..

After 298 views a comment! As of October 16th, 2009 (the last time I called Toro and asked) Toro knows of only one decoder failure due to a lightning strike in the last two years. Double check that your system had the Internal Surge Protected Decoders. "ISP" will be in the part number printed on each decoder. The first generation (2005-2007) did not have this lighting detection. Toro may swap those out for free! Next version - I will work on the pathetic and weak part. Thanks for viewing!
