Im sorry, but there was marching was terrible. So scruffy, looked like a sack of shit to be honest. Shocking.

Tayforth OTC is a great organisation
I suspect any slackers who were "tick tocking " here were English inbreds whose parents were related
on a lighter note check out this video, this will restore your faith in OTC Marching and dicscipline, thanks to Sgt Maj Donnie Lamont and Drm Major Davy Scott (RIP)

marching being the simplest thing to do in the army? its clearly not. the 2Lt doesnt make it look good at all and if he is a total alcoholic as you imply then I suggest he does it drunk next time as he made an arse of it whilst sober. If you think the British Army needs to sharpen up as a result of you watching/filming this then you need to join the taliban go to afghanistan and see if you still have the same opinion of them after your first encounter with them.

TBF, MTQ1 is and always has been a joke. You have to remember that loads of the people coming into UOTCs have not been in ACF or anything like that and so need to be eased in - to the extent that OTC is, at times, Carry On Army. Despite that, this year's parade was quite a good sight better IMO (Sergeant-Major Ward = absolute legend). Wait until someone posts that and then compare.

The ironic thing about all the Scot bashing down the page is that the St. Andrews contingent of Tayforth is mostly English.

I must say, I filmed this thing and the marching really was shabby. It's the simplest thing to do in the army, and HM Forces should sharpen up. Plus, I think the trews should be discarded, and only kilts worn. Yeah they're students, but the Lieutenant at the front is a total alcoholic and still makes it look good.
