  • Can you please tell me where i can download basic instrument sounds ? I've downloaded samples on "freesound" but i can only open them in the sample list, not in the instrument list (even when it's a simple snare shot)...

  • Well you dl other .xm files and save the instruments from the song to your computer then open them up in milky. I actually dont know where you can dl just instruments for milky. You might be able to from the Milky tracker website but i dont know.

  • can any1 explain what each of the numbers mean in each column? or at least point me in the right direction? im able to do the basics with changing the pitch and volume of each note, but what do the other parts mean? thanks in advance.

  • Im assuming that you are using milky tracker so the first is the note, then its the number of the instrument, then the volume of the note, the its the effects number. For a more in depth of everything you can checkout the manual at the link in the Description. ---->

  • Very nice! Resemblence is uncanny. May I ask you, how do I get to play two notes at a time?

  • Theres multiple tracks in milky tracker so you just put the first note on the first track and then the second note you want to play on the next track and 3rd note on the one after that if you want a chord.

  • Good job! I´ve been doing stuff in Fasttracker 2 and Milkytracker on and off, these programs are just a joy to use. Nice rendition of a very underrated Zelda tune.

  • I would much rather fight to this in Brawl than that half-assed remix Nintendo made for the game!

  • Good job!

  • RESPECT.....

  • Awesome....I just got milkytracker...so I'm still trying to figure out how to use it...

  • This is nice ! Could you share the .xm version please ?

  • You have to select an actual instrument before you start tracking. so select an instrument in the instrument box. if yours is empty then you'll have to load instruments or samples. if you don't know how to do this I suggest you start out by loading someone elses song and then zapping the patterns and then starting from that.

Just hit the REC mode to track something where you cursor is at by pressing Z to - or q to ~ (theres some more keys aswell, but it's too long to explain)

  • Can anyone help me? Iv been trying figure out how to get the noises I just created in the bit at the bottom but I dont know what to do or press to get them into the actuall track thing above.. if anyone knows what im taqlking about please help.

  • It goes with an SNES verison better. =D

  • Oh, I love it!
