should have done the playthrough on 360. Not for reasons of console favoritism, but because the 360's GPU has better Anti-aliasing and richer colors and black tones, thus making a horror-game like dead space even scarier than on PS3. If you look at almost any non-exclusive (like MW2, Bad Company 2, or Batman Arkham Asylum to name a few), they look a little richer and better on 360. Next time you do a no-exclusive walkthrough, try the 360 if you can.

I have a random question about the definitions of play through and lets play. I believe all that to be accurate but I want an opinion on a particular.

I saw a play through of F.E.A.R. That didn't have the player talking BUUUUT later on started adding in a bit of his thoughts in some subtitles, some rather funny at that. At one point he even stopped the game at a comment of the women wanting to drive and putting in slide shows of women who crashed cars.Should he have called his work a Let'sPlay?

Basically, it sounds like he didn't have the equipment to pull of a traditional Let's Play, so instead he used text bubbles.

I would still consider the inclusion of text bubbles to be a Let's Play, as text bubbles break the immersion of a Playthrough.

@VenomProject Works for me, and wow, uber quick on the reply. Salutations from an arcade manager on the job as we speak. The fellow I speak of though did video editing to do his text bits and included slide bits as said, but either way I can nod to your thoughts of it being a lets play. Kinda like a hybrid as his text thoughts were only here and there, but yeah.

Also on a stray thought, wouldn't sweat not finishing Bioshock. I found it defiantly over rated.

The way I see it, if I wanna watch a Playthrough, it's because I wanna watch the events of the game in their entirety. I want full immersion, as if I'm watching a movie.

Let's Plays can be fun too, if you're looking to be entertained while watching gameplay. For example, if you've been meaning to finish a certain game that you find particularly boring, you can watch a Let's Play and listen to some witty banter while viewing the rest of the game's content.
