This video shows you how to set up Voodoo Lab's Ground Control Pro footcontroller with Digidesign's Eleven Rack. Thanks to Digidesign's Sean Halley for opening up his studio (and turning on his espresso machine) for us. - J. Santiago/Voodoo Lab

  • @seanhalleyguitar Sorry mate just posted the power question and saw you've already answered it. Are you able to explain how you created your power box thing. Sounds like exactly what I'd like to do with mine.

  • Hi Sean, Love your work man. you are a great player and explainer and have really helped me with getting my Ground Control/Eleven Rack setup working like a dream. I've noticed in this vid, when you lift up the ground control to show where the Exp Pedals go, that there is no power supply connected. How are you powering the Ground Control? Phantom via midi cable? Please help as I'd love to ditch my power supply and clean up my setup. Cheers, Phil

  • @seanhalleyguitar hey man, thanks for taking time to get back with me on this.

  • @Playingmuhguitar

If you look on the rig layout page, scroll all the way over to the right side of the pedalboard - to the PEDAL module (just one left of the METERS slot). You can set the pedal to do one of four things, but just set it to WAH for this.

At that point you need to make sure that the Wah isn't bypassed in your patch, and then you can get your Isaac Hayes on :-)

    Hope that helps.

  • My most recent attempt (10 mins ago, lol) was to set it up in rig I1, the SW2 blinks and I save it and when I step on the pedal the position on 11r screen goes from "10" to "0.0" and stays in this position, even though I continue to rock the pedal.

I know the pedal works because I use it on another effect I have and it works perfect for it.

If you or anyone for that matter could give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help.

  • Hey Sean, I have the Roland EV-5 Expression pedal and I just cannot get it to work the Wah on my 11R. I've followed each step in the manual, searched on Google & searched numerous user forums (including Avid and their FAQ), but to no avail, I do not use Midi or a Midi controller, but if I understand what I am reading, I don't have to use it to control the wah.

I'll have to finish this in the next post, sorry

  • @orpheus06 - yup - all of the sounds you hear are from the 11R itself, as no real amps were harmed in the making of this video :-)
