im dying to know, and cant really get an answer, even from logitech...

can this mouse "pan", and be used with 3d cnc apps like solidworks, cimatron etc?

I don't think you need softeware to get the mouse going. But if you want to customize you need to install the software. You can download the software online.

I am disappointed by this mouse i am afraid. I started having problems in less than a year after i bought it.The left mouse click sometimes behaves as if its double cliked (even if i only press one click) or sometimes it just "misses" the clicks. The right mouse click sometimes behaves as if its the left click.

Loose the reciever!

Is been designed so you leave the reciever in the laptop and not removeing it until it breaks!

I bought this mouse. It's the best mouse I ever had.

You could have some problems at the beginning because it's quite small and you have to get used to it but other than that never had problems with it and it's good for gaming too.

It would be nice if you could include a close-up view of the mouse itself, rather than a view of the reviewer. I wanted to see if there are backward and forward buttons on this mouse, and that was never discussed.

Thanks, nice review. I got this mouse yesterday and find it very comfortable to use. I am using it with my macbook pro and the tiny receiver does not detract too much from the aesthetics, although it would be better if there was no need for it in the first place. At first i thought it was a bit rattly and to be honest it is but once the batteries are in it gives it a bit of weight. It is a bit expensive for a mouse but worth paying for the more discrete receiver. 8 out of 10
