  • Fantastic to see and hear the old Marauder again. I turned mine into a Mardave mini/marauder cross. Very small, but fast! I need to rebuild it and get that Irvine 20 back into life. Thanks for the video.

  • @ExigeGT3 I think for the times they where made,Nothing could ever match them,They where ahead of their class,Yeah they make super ones now,all singing and dancing, but you can never replace this truly fun model,,and with the engine in it,Irvine 20 was and still is a powerfull engine and mine runs like a dream and far to fast to use on full power, still much enjoyment even at this speed :)

  • ive just bought 1 of these. runs pretty good, do you know how to tune the engine on these? cheers

  • What's happening? Is the engine cutting out when you apply full throttle?

I seem to remember the engine has a mixing screw on the carb and maybe another one where you need a screw driver? At the moment i can't get to the car as i have it packed up so i can't get to it,I think you have to keep turning it one way or another so it adjusts the amount of air getting in it,my mate could help you more,he deals a lot with RC,alishanmao, send him a message and he will put you in the right direction, stu

  • Nice one. I was playing with my Marauder today. You've got a nice bit of grass there, I was running on dusty hardpack and it's all about the slide ;o) I've got a modern 1/8 buggy but it's too easy to drive and sooo expensive. Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you for your comment :o),I love using this car and can't wait to get it going again, one of its servo's has stopped working so i need to buy another one ,one day,but as soon as,,,,i'll be popping more videos on here :)it is sure a challenge to use this car as we know it doesn't have oil dampeners or the modern stuff today cars have ;o).

  • @stuj026 I like to think of Mardave as TVR of the model world. Not the best made but on the day will blow everything into next week in a cloud of smoke and power! ;0) Ooh I came over all J.C. then.

  • ive just bought 1 of these. runs pretty good, do you know how to tune the engine on these? cheers

  • I still have one ,its in good condition ,not been used in about 10 years.I must get it out and give it a good old run..happy days......{"_*} 5*

  • Hey, I've got one of these too, gonna buy another soon. New to RC cars, but for some reason the older cars seem so much more fun than the new, efficent, quiet ones...

Anyway, I was wondering if you have any spares for this car? More specifically, do you know what kind of main needle will fit into the carb? Mine snapped off.

Also what power supply do you use for the starter box? Got mine to start for about 5 seconds at one point, but that was by wrapping a bit of string around the fly wheel!

  • Hi,,it's an irvine 20,a great little engine, far to powerful to open up on this kind of surface, one slight bump and it's up in the air ;o)
