Gimme five! Follow the tips in our final Training Academy video and teach your dog to high five.

Teaching tricks is a great way to use some of your dog's mental energy and it strengthens the bond you have with your dog. Gwen (the trainer) and Phoebe (the collie) show you how it's done.

Please note: Although these videos are only a few minutes long, the filming for each took several hours. Training a dog is not quick to do and requires a lot of patience, practice and experimentation to achieve the best results. If you're struggling then we'd recommend you seek the help of a professional dog trainer, for more intensive one-on-one help and advice. • Thank you - we're glad Gwen's tips helped! Your Yorkie sounds like a very bright dog - we'd love to see a clip of him showing off his skills.

  • Thank you sooooo much for posting this video! It was a simple method, fun, and very well explained! My 3 month yorkie was having trouble learning this one since he always tried to nibble my hand (he's teething), but with this technique he mastered it in 20 mins! I'm officially subscribing! :)
