PSNation.org - MLB 12 The Show - Transfer Franchise saves between PS3 and Vita

Here's a quick video showing how you transfer your Franchise from the PS3 to the PSVita. This is the same way that you would transfer your Road to the Show etc as well. The file is loaded to the "cloud," which is different then your cloud storage via PlayStation Plus. These files are stored directly on the servers for MLB 12 The Show. You only get one slot to save the file, so any multiples or backups would have to stay on your console of choice, Everything seen is in a development build of the game, and may not represent the look or functionality of the final product.

Stupid Question: If I'm playing the PS3 version, do I also need to own the Vita version? Do I need both copies of the PS3 and Vita game?

if i save a franchise to the cloud from a ps3, then have my buddy download it under the same psn name but on a different ps3, will there be any wait time (last year they said 24 hrs on playstation plus cloud) like, i would have to wait 24 hrs before i could re-download the franchise after he plays it and uploads it again. also, do you know if there will be save copyright protection again this year? we live in different states and just want to do a season together.

you should set up the vita so you could use it as a controller for PS3. It would be a way to select pitches and keep you stratagem secret from who your playing. Just like nintendo is trying to do but vita is able to be used as a gaming device on it's own so it would be worth buying. Unlike nintendo's

those are the only two saves I care about taking with me if I do get a Vita for this game.
