What message do we send to children when they watch sports and all they see are alcohol advertisements?

The gov successfully sent a message to all people that cigarettes are bad for you and the people responded appropriately. If the government were honest and pragmatic about the dangers of all drugs then drugs like marijuana would also be in commercials and drugs like crack would be highly cautioned and be surrounded by effective treatment programs.

Saying some drugs should be discouraged or illegal is the exact same thing that is already being done. The government tells you the the drugs you get from your doctor are good, but all the others are bad. All you're doing is including marijuana on the "good" list because of your personal opinions (and dare I say experience?). It changes nothing.
