As an added bonus, families can learn about the steps taken to keep race car drivers safe as SpeedMeetsArt has arranged for the Supermodified’s and Modified stock car of local drivers Mark “The Flyin’ RN” Miller, Rich Reid and ’08 Track Champion Matt Marlowe to visit the Museum. In addition to the unique opportunity to see these “ultimate in short track racing” machines up close, souvenirs such as one-of-a-kind collectable and custom racing art and t-shirts will be available for purchase.

With Ohio's new booster seat law taking effect on October 7, 2009, many parents have questions about how their children should travel after they have outgrown car seats. Museum visitors can take part in Rainbow's Boost Your Booty activity station, created through a grant from Kohl's Cares for Kids, to get expert advice and have all their questions about the new law answered. Riding in a properly installed car seat provides the best possible protection for infants and toddlers in a motor vehicle crash, yet a wide variety of child restraints and vehicle seat belt systems can add up to major confusion for parents. Two of every three car seats checked by certified technicians are misused in some way, such as having a seat that is inappropriate for a child's age, height or weight.

The Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Injury Prevention Center, lead agency for the Greater Cleveland Safe Kids/Safe Communities Coalition, works with communities, children, and families through education and outreach to decrease injury risk and improve wellbeing. The Kohl's Safe Rides for All Kids program at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is a multifaceted effort to increase restraint use for children of every age by reaching kids and parents where they live, work, and play.

Kohl's, based in Menomenee Falls, Wisconsin, supports the Safe Rides for All Kids through the Kohl's Cares for Kids program, which raises funds for children's health and educational opportunities through the sale of special gift items. Kohl's community outreach also includes Kohl's Kids Who Care, an annual youth volunteer recognition program, as well as an associate program to encourage volunteerism.

SpeedMeetsArt.com was founded in 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio by Chad Hanobik. Artists use the latest cutting edge technology to digitize, enhance, and blaze photos into custom art on Metallic Paper. This paper uses a proprietary combination of film laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images on an ultra-bright background. Many experts have described this effect as “chrome on paper.”

Offering a variety of hands-on, family-oriented exhibits and programming, The Children's Museum of Cleveland is 'the' Northeast Ohio destination and resource for all young children, parents and caregivers to engage in fun, innovative, interactive play that accelerates the child's creativity, development and education. The Children's Museum is located at 10730 Euclid Avenue in University Circle. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular admission is $6.00 for adults; $7.00 for children ages 1 to 12 years; infants 11 months and under and members enter free.
