Ok, this time I did something different. We shouldn't forget the women in Spider-Man's life and especially not his beloved Gwen Stacy, one of Peter's biggest loves that died a very tragic death during the infamous battle between Spidey and the Goblin on the Brooklyn Bridge. Sadly, that's how most people will remember her for, her death. But there was so much more to Gwen than that. I used clips from The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon because it is the first and only Spider-Man cartoon which had Gwen Stacy as one of the supporting characters and of course, pictures of Gwen from the comic books. The song is "Curly Sue" by a swedish band called "Takida". Since it's valentines day today we should open our hearts to Gwen.

NOTE: The song is in a higher pitch which I usually have in my videos, the reason is because otherwise Youtube shuts off the audio.

  • Didn't there battle take place on the George Washington Bridge? and she was actually in the 90's Spider-Man Cartoon, but in the last (2) episodes

  • Yeah, but it looked like Brooklyn Bridge. ;)

Yes, she appeared in the last episode of Spider-Man TAS, but that doesn't make her a supporting character in the show does it? ;)

  • from which comic is 2:19?

  • Amazing Spider-Man #121.

  • @Hippohateszealots yeah too bad we'll never see any more of the nerdy Gwen.Still can't believe Disney canceled probably one of the best takes on the spider-man story,in my opinion.

  • I love Spectacular Spiderman Gwen Stacy, the other not the same.

  • @EinsteinEMP826 It's Man of Action (Ben 10, Generation Rex) who's behind the animation (looks abit like DC's slightly asian influenced cartoons, i.e. Justice League).

Having watched the live action Fairly odd Parents movie -_-, Drake bell seems good for a teenage (15/16) Spidey.

The Spidey-Cycle seemed like a hijacked vehicle, not made by Pete.

My concern is the story. SSM was superb becuz it was focused on Peter, how he develops throughout the story.

USM looks like a Avengers-ish team up :(

  • @Hippohateszealots I don't know, from what I've seen so far, I'm shrinking away from it. Anime-like emotion reactions (blown up facial expressions, choppy movement), voicing by Drake Bell (???), stupid gimmicks like a Spider-Cycle (-_-). They're going to need to do a hell of a lot of convincing for me to watch it.

  • @GhostGS666 no, to be honest I don't think they should bring her back, if only for the principle of the thing. So many deaths occur in comic books that are reversed later because another writer wants to use the character. Nothing is permanent anymore, so now deaths have no meaning. By bringing Gwen back, like any other recently dead character, we are, ironically, disrespecting her. All the emotion and surprise we felt at her death would be made pointless, because it was reversed in the end.

  • I think the bridge scene in the Spiderman (2002) movie is suppost to resemble Gwen Stacy because Green Goblin threw her off the bridge and then Gwen Stacy dies. That's wat happened in the movie only except the fact that it wuz Mary Jane and Mary Jane didn't die. In the comics, Green Goblin gets stabbed by his own glider 3:13, JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIE!!!

  • Fuck MJ :(

  • great video makes me mourn

So if you blew the final images of the movie XD

  • FUCK THAT WHORE

  • *sniff*

    Very good.
