good point. If there's one sport that has always been race neutral, it's been Boxing. When I fought, my trainer was black. You routinely see different races teaming up as fighter/trainer. Look at Hattons last fights. He employed Floyd Sr. That's about as opposite as you can get. An englishman from Manchester and an african-american from Michigan. The last fight they tried to make into a race war was Holmes-Cooney. That was a shame because those guys respected the hell out of eachother. Still do

Race has to do with the politics of boxing, just like it has to do with the politics of anything. I love all races, one of my best friends is white, but when you start saying "what does race have to do with" then you clearly don't understand how life is.
