I saw a post on http://www.chiriquichatter.net/ about a trailer full of medical equipment that needed to be unloaded. I decided to go over and help out, once in a while a man just needs to lift some stuff. Those moments are few and far between for me, but I wanted to help. When I got there I was recognized at the "video guy" and everyone was excited that I was there to give the event some publicity. When I explained that I was only there to help unload they truck, and I had left my camera at home everyone was a bit confused. "But, you're the video guy, how can you make videos if your camera's at home?" So I jumped back in the car and went to grab it.

I interviewed Tom from The McCormack Foundation. His foundation has imported container after container of life changing medical equipment to Panama, and he says they will never have enough. For some people here having an old wheel chair, or hospital bed for their home is a massive increase in the quality of their lives.

If you have any old medical equipment laying around that you would like to see put to good use in Panama check out their website: http://www.panamamccormackfoundation.com/ Each container costs $6000 to ship to Panama, so financial donations are welcome as well.

  • Turn then into welfare recipients like they have done to the people here in the USA. That will do a lot of good.

They have been self reliant for centuries. Why turn them into beggars?

  • @ducedogs I think you may have a misunderstanding of poverty. Should the cripple guy with no education go get a job? Should we watch him scoot around on his ass for the rest of his life, just so he can be self reliant?

  • If part of this will be on tv - mate that's success! Congrats! Hope to see more motorbiking vids in future.

  • @glow3tour Clutch is out on my bike. I'll be riding again soon.

  • Ryan, That was great, you were going to jump in and help lend a hand, nice of you to also ride back and get your gear for the vid. Don't forget to go for a ride once in a while (take care of your passion too!)

  • @NordicReach Clutch is out on the bike. New one should be here any day now. I get pretty grouchy without a bike to ride.
