Set in 1960s New York, the daring drama follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the sell while their private world get sold.
In the second season, MAD MEN will continue to blur the lines between good and bad, and perception and reality. The world is moving in a new direction, can Sterling Cooper keep up? Meanwhile the private life of Don Draper becomes complicated in a new way. What is the cost of his secret identity?

I've really gotten into this show in a big way - I love everything about it. The musical score especially is hypnotic!

@hawkwind999 This was the 60s and yes, many of those ppl probably died of lung cancer but they didn't know it was going to happen. Some people even thought smoking was good for you and kept colds and infections OUT of your lungs!

I keep hearing this is one of the all time great shows that should be watched, but I don't live in America or really care it about that much. Every review I read keeps saying this show isn't just about the protagonists, but about America and capitalism. Should I bother trying to source the disks or will I regret it?

I'm losing faith in quality TV, and so many of my favorites have been canceled. After hearing so much praise for Mad Men I'm going to sit down and watch as many episodes as I can.
