IMS M59 was different car, have redesigned body and use new type of engine.
Before WW2, Ford Romania build car with licensed Ford V8 engine, same engine used after war by Red Flag Factory in Brasov to make Carpati truck.
For IMS M59 was redesigned Ford V8 to use just 4cilinders and with new carburetor UT550 and 4 speed gearbox.
Inspired by GAZ69 body, IMS M59 was redesign, is length 4mm more, narrow with 140mm and tall with 20mm high.

IMS M57 and IMS M59 IS A DIFFERENT CAR, not GAZ69.
IMS M57 was built more hand-made than industrial because GAZ69 fleet used by Romanian Army and police was old and need spare parts.
IMS M57 was build with Ford A engine, soviet dump this type and use Dodge licensed 6 cilinder ( Molotov truck ) redesigned engine for GAZ69 .
USSR never licenced IMS Muscel to build copy of GAZ69, they agree just for building spare parts.
On that time between comunist country licence is not mandatory.
