This old Allertor 125 starts up and the motor sounded terrible, then it had a real slow wind up, then would not spin around for the first 30 seconds, this is definately a tired siren....it won't be around very long! It's on Hundertmark road west of co. rd. 41 in Chaska, it only does the alert mode.

  • @The73slapshot - Except for the Decots from the 20s that still work fine

  • sirens get old and definitely dont work when they were used back in the 40s

  • please contact somone to get that replaced asap... it has may issues:)

  • sounds like a bad start cap and a chain tensioning issue to me...

  • Mechanical sirens always make great boat anchors.

  • i live in chaska is this by the ccc or chaska community center?

  • Since the rotator runs on the same motor as the chopper, could the rotator problems be contributing to the sluggish startup? Also, I heard noisy bearings at the beginning.

  • id be afraid if it rotated to fast and fell off of its pole

  • @0:38 look at how fast it spins!

  • @AKSoapy29 I could try and do that next month.
