no, even though the end credits say "written by Charlie Kaufman and Donald Kaufman." Donald is sort of like Charlie's alter ego, representing the trite and unoriginality of Hollywood, which is what he was trying to avoid when he was signed on to adapt The Orchid Thief.

Synecdoche, New York is definitely the best Kaufmann movie, much deeper and existentialistic than his other works
