@lemaindedieu I agree, but the heat wasn't a big problem for the italians (as it was probably for the English). Summer in Mexico City in certainly not hotter than a summer in Milano, Rome, Napoli or Palermo (90% of Italy, except the extreme north), and it is actually hotter than many places in Brazil (like São Paulo). BTW, Mexico and Italy are in the hemisphere and the seasons are the same.

@diegomilito901 Based on what you're saying, not only Pelé but EVERY brazilian player of the squads of 1958, 1962 and 1970 were shitty players. It just show how stupid your statements are.
BTW, how many defenders Europe had at the time of the same quality of Carlos Alberto, Nilton Santos, Ancheta or Elias Figueroa (they all played in Brazilian league during Pelé era)? In can only think in Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore and Fachetti, and they didn't played in the same league.

Fifas official greatest ever goal

this is the way barcelona play now. this game was in 1970. 19-70! remember italy was a great defending side. and brazil in attacking.

I love Pele, the way he just stops for a couple of seconds and then passes it as cool as anything!

The reason this goal is amazing and the best goal of all time is because of the teamwork. Notice how italy didn't touch the ball once. The brazilian players communicated effectively! When pele had the ball he didn't even need to look up to know that carlos alberto was there....it was a feeling of trust, That's what soccer's all about.....teamwork. Not individual players but how a team plays together is what will win you titles.
