History Professor Al Camarillo's talks about his research, why he chose his research and how he goes about conducting it. Professor Camarillo's research interests include Mexican American history and Chicano Studios and is currently conducting research for a book project entitled Going Back to Compton: Reflections of a Native Son on Life in an Infamous American City. He is the founding director of Stanford's Center for Comparative Studies of Race and Ethnicity.
