Using the Remington 870 shotgun, 12 gauge, to perform some tests involving different types of shot. The test "target" is 1/2" drywall on 2x4 studs indicative of most modern home construction. On the back is another piece of 1/2" drywall representing the interior of on adjacent room. 3 different chokes were intended to be reviewed, but oncoming darkness forced us to skip a full choke, but that very well seems redundant, anyway. The point of this video has to do with the tremendous lack of respect for various shotgun loads, which could lead in my estimation to catastrophic safety lapses.
If I get enough civil comments regarding further tests, I would be glad to perform them.
This video was not created to prove any one wrong, but to be illustrative of the projectiles in question.
Thanks for watching!!!

  • great vid u should make one with a .22lr because iv heard alot about that to that oh its small that cant do anything because its small ppl think it cant kill them or do any damage

  • @awhite89012090909 we might do some stuff with .22. Usually not that exciting because it passes right through most material. But info wise, it's good to know.

  • if a person is shot in the chest with that stuff, would in go straight through them?

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion based on some things I have shot over the years, it would make a helluva divit if nothing else ;)

  • Just don't miss!

  • @neilytron point one, worth taking!

  • I finally dismantled a Microwave with some 7 1/2 20 ga low brass. Yeah, stopping a firearm in any way shape or form is a losing battle.

  • Thanks for the video. Straight to the point and this proves almost any birdshot in the house will go through any regular wall in the house.

  • @Pill88Dickle hard for me to imagine "safe" ammo. Thanks for watching.

  • @bigbob6556 with a 12 gauge it doesn't matter what load your using its still a DAMN 12 gauge...... So birdshot or 00 buck its still a powerful ass weapon system that's delivering the shot best bet is use 00buck with the low recoil for home defense and don't miss ....
